Read what former students say:

Olga, Russia

You are the best teacher I have studied with. Your curiosity and hunger for life are contagious. You always helped me want to strive for more, question things, think, be active and never give up. You make every student feel important.

Helen, China

You built my self-confidence. I met the right person to lead me into American literature and culture at the very beginning - you. How lucky I am! Thank you for pushing me.

Valentina, Belgium

You are my best teacher ever. Without you, I'd still be trying to figure out how to answer a question like an American.

Gad, Israel

Wherever I go, you are on my mind, Priscilla. Never in my life have I had such a memorable teacher like you, and I promise it’s not over. I want to learn much more from you.

Hiroto, Japan

I love that you always encourage students. Your comments and suggestions help us and let us find the joy of studying. If you're interested in listening to your name on the news, live at least until I get the Nobel Prize in Literature. I'm not interested in any prizes but I'm interested in calling your name as my teacher to the world.

George, Georgia

I just wanted you to know that you are always on my mind, and I am eternally grateful for everything I've learned from you. There have been very few people who influenced my life in a better way.

Nina, Russia

In your class I feel like coming out of a cocoon. You are the most encouraging professor I've ever had.

Lyubov, Kazakhstan

I've been thinking about our class, my fellow students and our fearless leader. You are one of the most incredible and inspiring women I've ever met. You touch every one of your students.

Aline, Brazil

This semester was the best one since I've moved to New York. No other class can compare with yours. You opened my mind wide. I can't stay here without taking more of your classes.

Jennifer, Macao

I love that you correct every email, every assignment, every text message I send - even when class is over. You have introduced me to the great minds of humankind. I've not only learned to write English better, but I've been inspired to be a better version of myself through writing. I learned to reflect.
